The Simpson College Jazz Camp is an intensive week-long program open to students aged 12-19 dedicated to building jazz improvisation skills. Students participate in daily theory classes, instrument specific workshops, and combo rehearsals, all lead by an acclaimed faculty of some of the region and nation's top jazz musicians and educators!

This summer we are pleased to welcome Indianola native and trombonist/composer extraordinaire Paul McKee! And he's bringing with him from Colorado, newly appointed professor of Jazz Studies at Univ. of Northern Iowa Michael Conrad, and professor of saxophone at the Univ. of Northern Colorado (and my esteemed mentor) Dr. Andrew Dahlke.

Catch these fine musicians, and the rest of the incredible faculty, on evening performances beginning at 7:00pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
